Grape variety: Negroamaro
Vines age: 20 anni in media
Production area: Apulia. Deep red soils rich in iron oxides lying on limestone bedrock.
Vinification: Destemming and crushing, alcoholic fermentation with maceration at a controlled temperature. Racking and subsequent malolactic fermentation.
Ageing: In French oak barriques of second and third use for approximately 6 months.
Tasting notes: Ruby red color with purple reflections; spicy bouquet with notes of coffee, chocolate, and vanilla; hints of berries, especially blueberry and blackcurrant. On the palate, it is smooth and intense, with a delicate tannic texture and a long finish.
Best served with: Ideal with flavorful first courses, grilled meats, and aged cheeses. Also a wine for meditation.
Serving temperature: 18°C.
Alcohol level: 13% vol.
